CITU deplores reforms affecting industry

Kapra: A symposium on 'Effects of Reforms on Industry' was held at Jyothi Gardens in Kushaiguda on Sunday.

United Andhra Pradesh Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) general secretary B V Raghavulu was the chief guest of the event. He said amendments in liberalised economy were introduced in 1991.

"CITU has warned the effects of the liberalised economy. This has put people's welfare into trouble. The government institutions are being converted into private institutions," he said. Raghavulu called upon workers and people to fight against the reforms that were affecting industrial sector.

CITU Telangana secretary J Venkatesh, DG Narsing Rao, Medchal Distrcit president A Ashok, secretary J Chandrasekhar, vice president K Ravi, CH Yadaiah, J Raghava Rao and others were present.
