CM KCR has no respect for constitutional values
Adarshangar: Telangana Inti Party president Cheruku Sudhakar said that the CM of the Telangana state which was formed through constitutional rights after a long struggle, lacks respect for constitutional values. He was speaking during Constitution Day celebrations held here at the party office on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhakar criticised the state government as dictatorial as it has been ignoring public issues. He condemned the state government's apathy towards striking RTC employees who were ready to join duties after 52 days of strike. He criticised the repressive measures taken by the state government to suppress the RTC strike. He also denounced illegal arrests and midnight searches of their leaders who supported the RTC strike.
Referring to the CM's promise to build 125-ft Ambedkar statue in state, he urged CM KCR to first follow the constitution in its letter and spirit before installing the statue. He demanded that the state government allow around 49,000 RTC employees rejoin the duties. He warned of an intense state-wide agitation if the state government proceeds with its decision to close 12,000 government schools in the state.
He expressed fears that the decision would impact education of rural students from downtrodden sections. Among those who participated in the program include state secretary of the party Burra Srinivas Goud, Narsing, Krishna and others.
