Hyderabad: Cold wave warning renewed for today
Hyderabad: The IMD on Tuesday renewed the cold wave warning for December 23 saying that such conditions would prevail at one or two places in the northern and western districts of Telangana. The department bulletin said mainly low-level North-Easterlies prevailed over the State during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday.
According to the forecast, the night temperature in Hyderabad on Wednesday would be 11 degrees Celsius, with fog or mist occurring early in the morning, while it would be 12 deg C each on December 24 and 25. During the next three days 13 deg C would prevail. The outlook would be partly cloudy sky with haze.
The IMD bulletin said cold wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Adilabad, Hyderabad and Medak districts during the last 24 hours. The lowest minimum temperature of 5.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad. There was a marked fall in the temperatures by -4.1 degrees Celsius or less in some parts of Telangana. They were markedly below normal by -5 deg C or less in some parts.
While Medak chilled at 7.2 deg C, Hyderabad registered10.4 deg C, the lowest of the seasons so far.
