Command Control Room begins operations at GHMC Head Quarters

Hyderabad: Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) Joint Secretary and Mission Director V K Jindal on Friday inaugurated the command control room which has set up at the cost of Rs 2 crore at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation head office in city.

Hyderabad city Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, GHMC Commissioner M Dana Kishore and other officials were present at the inaugural ceremony of the control room.

Speaking on this occasion, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan said that they can monitor the city through more than one lakh CCTV cameras installed by cops across the city, from the command control room. He said that the officials can review the works of deputy commissioners, executive engineers, medical officers in 30 circles across the city and in future they can see the developmental works taken up by the GHMC can be seen by sitting in control room, he said.

"In the city, the CCTV cameras which were installed by the police department would be attached to this command control system and we can keep a watch on enhancing road safety, sanitation work and water logging areas," he informed.

The Mayor explained to Jindal about the most advanced command control system in GHMC, which was one of its kind. Jindal congratulated the GHMC officials on setting up the control room.
