Cops gesture to kin of deceased colleague

Hyderabad: Sub Inspectors of the 2012 batch have come up to create a support system for the family of K Madhusudhan, a Sub Inspector attached to the Pochampally police station, who lost his life in a road accident in March. A sum of Rs 10 lakh has been put together as fixed deposit in the name of his parents and children in a bank to support them financially.

Madhusudhan, a 2012 batch official, is survived by his parents K Kondaiah, K Anjamma, wife K Jyothi and children Durga Deekshit (6) and Sri Vaishnavi (4). The Sub Inspectors, who were recruited in the united Andhra Pradesh have made the deposits in two accounts, Rs 4 lakh in the name of Madhusudhan's parents and Rs 6 lakh in the name of his daughter.

They met Mahesh M Bhagwat, Police Commissioner, Rachakonda, on Saturday and handed over the documents related to the fixed deposits to the bereaved family in his presence.

Appreciating the noble gesture, Bhagwat promised to take care of the school fee of the children this academic year. He also assured a suitable job for Madhusudhan's wife Jyothi. In March, Madhusudhan was killed in a road mishap near Mahatma Gandhi University in Narketpally while he was on his way to bandobast duty for a police recruitment event in Nalgonda.

Telangana State Police Association President Y Gopi Reddy, United Cyberabad and Rachakonda Police Association President CH Badra Reddy, members Prabhakar Reddy, 2012 batch mates D Vijay, K Sanjeeva Reddy, B Jagan Reddy, D Anil and others were present.
