Cops wearing burqa?

Hyderabad: City's Islamic scholars have raised concern over the alleged use of Burqa by police constable who was seen pillion riding another constable recently. They questioned intentions of the policemen and their sincerity in maintaining peace in sensitive areas like Tappachabutra where the incident took place.

Condemning the issue, Maulana Mohammed Husamuddin Sani Jafar Pasha said that a Tappachabutra police staff was seen wearing Burqa and pillion-riding on a bike. It was carried out to create an atmosphere of discord by misleading the youth, he alleged.

He asked if the cop got any nod from the higher-ups for wearing burque, which hurt sentiments. "If they want to catch someone, is it the only option remained for cops?" he asked. "In the areas where Muslim concentration is more the police officers are making a nuisance in which the Muslim youngsters are being targeted.

It's a decoy operation to target youth from Muslim community." He also said that for such kind of action we won't give permission to police or anyone to defame Burqa", said Maulana Jafar Pasha.

He requested the Muslim community to be aware of such acts and requested parents to teach their children not to be instigated by such incidents.
