Cordon and search operations carried out in Malakpet

Malakpet: In view of Hanuman Jayanthi celebrations, a joint cordon and search operation under Malakpet and Saidabad police station limits was taken up by policemen from both police stations on Wednesday at Gandhi Nagar and Hamali Basthi and Bilal Mosque area under Malakpet ACP limits.

According to officials, the cordon and search was conducted under the supervision of Additional DCP T Govinda Reddy and Malakpet ACP M Sudarshan. In this operation, a total 100 policemen of Malakpet and Saidabad police station took part.

During the exercise, the details of 100 families were checked up and 25 two-wheelers were taken into custody. A maitri meeting with all the elders were also conducted as part of preparedness for ensuing Hanuman Jayanthi festivities.

Speaking to media persons, police officials said that the cordon and search was conducted in a view of Hanuman Jayanthi. The search operation went off peacefully without any interruption and public also co-operated and appreciated their move, they said.
