Coronavirus Vaccination measures in place; Get ready for jab
Hyderabad: The Covid-19 vaccine administering drive will more or less resemble voting process during elections. The Covid vaccine recipient (frontline staff) will get a message to go for a vaccine shot at a particular vaccine session site near his place of work/residence. Various sites will be identified by the health department including PHCs and other places for administering the vaccine. At each venue, a five-member team will take care of vaccine administering formalities.
At the entrance or gate, there will be a police cop or security person who will allow the recipient after checking his ID and related message to take the jab on that particular day. After entering inside, a health resource person will check for the person's details on the website and if its there he or she will be asked to proceed to the third official-who is the medical officer. The doctor would assess the person's health condition and if the person is medically fit then he or she would be told to go to the next desk where two ANMs are deputed for giving vaccine jab not causing any delay.
Finally, the person receiving the vaccine jab will be made to sit in the same venue for nearly 30 minutes. This decision has been taken to check for any adverse reaction in the patient after taking the vaccine shot. In case any person develops side-effects, he or she will be immediately shifted to the nearest hospital for further check-ups and treatment.
Nearly 100 frontline staff members are likely to get vaccine jab every day in each of the designated venues unless there are no technical glitches.
Meanwhile, after state and district level trainings on vaccine roll-out, block-level workshops were conducted virtually to create awareness among medical officers, ANMs, identified alternate vaccinators, supervisors etc. They were trained by the district health officials who divided them into three or four teams to conduct sessions separately.
