Corporator Lakshmi Prasanna swiftly puts end to rotting issue

LB Nagar: Residents of Sagar Complex Colony of BN Reddy division have been facing inconvenience due to stench coming out of rotten fruits and waste dumped in the vacant plot beside the Nagarjuna Sagar Road.

On receiving complaints from locals, local corporator Lakshmi Prasanna Rammohan Goud, along with GHMC Deputy Commissioner Maruthi Diwakar and AMHO Manjula Vani, inspected the spot on Monday. On her instructions, the vacant plot was cleaned using a JCB.

On finding that a local fruit vendor was dumping the waste, GHMC officials issued a penalty challan of Rs 500 to him and warned him not to dump the waste. Later, the corporator and the officials inspected stormwater drainage in Sagar Complex Colony and interacted with colony residents on various issues.

The corporator was accompanied by GHMC attendant Lakshmaiah, sanitation field assistants Sreenu, Balakrishna, Maheshwar Reddy and others.
