Cow saved after 10-day ordeal in septic tank

Hyderabad: The GHMC Disaster Rescue team had safely pulled out the cow which had accidentally fallen in a septic tank 10 days ago in the Allwyn Colony under Chandanagar circle on Wednesday. The incident occurred due to absence of a compound wall and lid on septic tank.

The cow had been in the septic tank for the last ten days because no one has cited the ordeal of the cow. The locals who observed on Wednesday morning informed the Disaster Rescue Team. The team immediately swung into action and rescued the cow.

As it was deprived of food and water for 10 days, the animal became very lean and weak. Immediately after rescuing it, DRF team provided some fodder and water and later shifted it to nearby veterinary hospital for treatment.

Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and Enforcement Director Vishwajit Kampati praised the Disaster Rescue Team members who have been instrumental in the rescue of the cow.
