Himayatnagar: City CPI secretary ET Narsimha on Sunday issued a warning to the TRS government that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's official residence 'Pragati Bhavan' would be paralysed for two days if the government did not give up its adamant attitude on the RTC employees' strike and hold discussions immediately.

Addressing a broad-based meeting of CPI's allied organisations, with Telangana Mahila Samakya's vice-president S Chaya Devi in the chair, he accused KCR of "resorting to repression and arrest of the striking employees and continuing an undemocratic rule." Narsimha alleged that KCR turned a "villain after letting down the RTC employees, as he had made promises to them and for hoodwinking voters during the recent elections."

He cautioned the CM that there was a threat of people revolting against him if he continued to be adamant. The CPI leader stated that people, particularly students and farmers, were severely affected by the RTC strike. He warned of intensifying the party's agitations in support of the strike.

Among those present at the meeting were AITUC Hyderbad district president Satyanarayana, general secretary M Narsimha, leader Boddupalli Kishan, Samakya Hyderabad district leaders Shahana Anjum, Shakri Bai, Contract Medical Employees' Union district leaders Hasina Begum and Lakshmi, AISF leader Naresh, AIYF city general secretary Nirlekanti Srikanth, leaders Balu and Mahmood.
