Hayatnagar: The CPM on Wednesday extended its support to the ongoing indefinite strike by RTC workers. CPM Rangareddy leader Narasimha and CITU leader A Mahesh criticised government for neglecting the notice of strike that has been rolled out two months ago.

"The RTC workers Joint Action Committee has been on strike for five days now. They have genuine demands. It's not good on the part of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for threatening the activists," they added.

The leaders and activists demanded that the State government hold discussion with RTC workers and give assurance to their demands. They threatened to intensify protest if the demands weren't met.

CPM mandal committee members B Prabhakar, Srinivas and Srisailam, INTUC leaders T Dhanraj, TRC JAC leaders Krishna, convener E Shankariah, Mallesh, Lakshmikanth, KJ Kumar, P Mahipal, Bal Narasimha, Murthy and others were present.
