CPM warns govt not to ignore RTC crisis

Ramachandra Puram: The CPM state committee has demanded that the government immediately to come up with a solution to crisis befalling RTC workers. It urged the government to relent and ensure feasibility of the transport corporation.

It should immediately start negotiations with the JAC to end the strike, the committee felt. The RTC workers protested in Ramachandrapuram and CPM supported the strike.

Speaking on the issue, Mallikarjun said, "It was shameful for the government that they could not find a solution to the problems of RTC workers, who have been conducting protests for the past 33 days."

He lamented that instead of finding a solution, the Chief Minister and the TRS government were ignoring the issue. He warned of continuous protests until the government agreed to negotiations.
