Creating new landmarks
Department of Culture has been encouraging all art forms in general and the dying and rare art forms in special, for the last five years.
They are extending their support to protect, preserve and continue the age-old arts for the next generations. And the 800-year-old Perini dance is one of the rare art forms, which got prominence in Telangana State and has succeeded in establishing as the great classical dance form in India with the constant efforts.
The journey of Perini Natyam created another landmark on May 14 at Ravindra Bharathi with the new additions of Surya Namaskaram, SaptaSwaraRaagaJati, Hamsa performances done by the disciples of Perini Pavan Kumar. These new experiments will definitely enrich the dance form and take the classical art to next level, on the foundation of the compositions of Guru Nataraja Ramakrishna.
Earlier, another experiment of Perini Margam, a solo show by Satvika and Perini Rajkumar Muvva got great response.
