Customs officials seize gold worth Rs 9.8 L at Hyderabad airport

The customs officials on Wednesday seized 233.2 grams of gold worth Rs 9.8 lakh from a Sudan national arrived from Dubai. The officials detained the woman and are questioning her.

On February 15, a passenger, identified as Senthil Kumar was caught by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials for moving suspiciously. The officials found four packets of gold paste concealed inside his dress after enquiring him. A total of 1100 grams of gold seized from him.

Senthil Kumar is a resident fo Pudukottai in Tamil Nadu. He arrived with the gold at Hyderabad airport from Singapore.
