Cyient, Telangana State to provide training for flying drones
Hyderabad: Cyient has signed MOU with government of Telangana and Telangana State Aviation Academy to conduct Remote Pilot Training programme for flying drones in Hyderabad recently. More than 18 companies are participating in the project. The DGCA certified drone pilot training programme will be opened afor the first time in the State.
The company has already worked on drone-based projects like Precision Agriculture, Volumetric Analysis in Mining and Aerial Security. To further propel the adoption of drone technology, Cyient hosted India's first ever UAV hackathon in 2018- HACKDRONE with the intent to encourage innovation and technology in the segment. Cyient undertook several projects with the Telangana government over the past couple of years to develop innovative drone applications for various industries such as agriculture, urban planning, mapping, infrastructure, utility inspections.
Master planning of Yadagirigutta was done by these drones. And the Nalgonda experiment of spraying fertilisers for the crops too. Under the alliance, cyient will provide the training tool while TSAA will provide the training services and infrastructure to conduct the programme.G B Reddy, officiating CEO of TSAA, said, "We look forward to play an active role in providing industry with well trained drone pilots who can fly drone for a simple or complex application."
