Dalits may face hardships under BJP rule, fears KVVS leader

Baghlingampally: General secretary of Kula Vivaksha Vyatireka Samithi (KVVS) Skylab Babu said that Dalits may face difficulties in the BJP rule. He was speaking at the second city convention of KVVS held here at the Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Sunday. Babu expressed fears that efforts were being made by the BJP led NDA government at the Centre to remove reservations provide by the Constitution of India, in order to undermine the Dalit community.

Criticising the BJP for its stance towards Dalits, he termed it as Shikhandi, a character in Mahabharatha. He lambasted the Telangana Chief Minister KCR for failing to fulfill his promises made to Dalits such as three-acre land to every dalit family, double-bedroom houses, SC corporation loans and installation of 125-foot Ambedkar statue in the city.

He lashed out at the Chief Minister for being silent whenze the statue of Dr Ambedkar was defiled. He urged the activists of the organization to make successful the state conventions to be held for three days from July 1.Among those who participated in the convention include KVVS leaders Dr Swamy Alwal, president Chandramohan, secretary Dasharath, Vijay Kumar, Santhoshi, Ramulu, Javed, Yadagiri, Somesh and others.
