Rahamath Nagar: Residents of Rahamath Nagarare facing severe hardships because of badly damaged roads. Roads in the area are full of potholes, allegedly due to official apathy and contractors giving a go-by to quality while road-laying and repair works.

The residents of the area say that, many roads in the area have become unfit to travel during the Monsoon season. They blame the use of inferior material by the contractors while undertaking road repairs for the worst condition and the GHMC for not resolving the issues.

According to the residents, the Rahamath Nagar, Karmika Nagar and Mothinagar road stretches are full of ditches giving motorists nightmarish drive. Two-wheeler and auto rickshaw riders heading to Ameerpet and Kondapur face the threat of accidents as they are unable to spot potholes during night-time.

The residents point out their innumerable representations to MLA Gopinath to repair the road had no effect. They have appealed to the officials to improve the condition of roads by laying new roads, particularly the one between Rahamath Nagar and Yousufguda. Some residents say that vehicles are getting damaged because of the poor road conditions.
