Dana inspects LB Nagar underpass works
LB Nagar: GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore inspected LB Nagar zone, along with zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, on Wednesday.
He instructed the officials concerned to complete the LB Nagar - Bairamalguda underpass within the next three months. He also inspected the double bedroom houses that are under construction at Vanasthalipuram.
LB Nagar-Bairamalguda underpass
Dana Kishore has ordered the engineers of the project department to complete the construction of the underpass road within the next three months. He said the construction of the underpass would reduce nearly 90% of the traffic in LB Nagar Junction. Under the 520 meter underpass, LB Nagar's left side has been constructed with 17 rafts, 76 retaining lifts, 111 precast box wall segments and 49 box pre-slab planks.
He also said that the procurement of land needed for the underpass construction has to be taken up quickly. Recently, Rs 42 crore from the GHMC general fund has been paid off to SRDP, and there is no lack of funding for SRDP works. After the election, the rupee-term loan will be collected.
Hospital in double-bedroom colonies
As part of his inspection in LB nagar zone, the commissioner also inspected the construction of double-bedroom houses in Vanasthalipuram. Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner said that there is an idea of establishing an area hospital in the double-bedroom colonies.
He said double-bedroom houses are to be followed by quality standards. In addition to the Quality Control board, commissioner also suggested the third party to conduct inspections. Zonal commissioner Srinivas Reddy told the Dana Kishore that the construction of 324 double-bedroom houses was 70% completed with a total cost of Rs 28 crore in the area.
