Dana meets JNTU professors on water logging issue
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner M Dana Kishore on Tuesday held meeting with professors of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) on actions being taken to clear some 160 water logging places in the city.
The commissioner held meeting with professors of Centre of Excellency Disaster Management Department and Centre for Water Resource Department separately.
He also held meeting with prof Lakshman Rao and prof Giridhar. Speaking in the meeting, Dana Kishore said that they have identified around 160 water logging places in the city, where the traffic becomes a huge problem in the rainy season. "We have requested the JNTU professors to give a solution to get rid of the water logging problem in the city, he said.
The commissioner said two professors from the department would examine the water logging spots in the city on Wednesday and Thursday and give a solution to get rid of the water logging in those places.
Around 30 water logging spots have been identified as most critical spots and the professors will chalk out a solution to repair these critical water logging spots in the city, Commissioner said.
