Delay in aid to mishap victims' kin decried

Hayathnagar: Congress party leaders Koppula Narsimha Reddy, T Dhanraj, state secretary Gajji Bhaskar Yadav, Gurram Srinivas Reddy, Panyala Jaipal Reddy, Kallem Sujata, Sappidi Naresh Reddy, Bolla Sunil Reddy on Friday expressed anguish and displeasure over the State government not providing any assistance to the families of Kodanda Vishal Babu and Padi Bharani Kumar, two residents of Hayathnagar who were killed in the Godavari boat accident in Andhra Pradesh.

The leaders told the media that Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy had provided the two families Rs.1 lakh as assistance. While pointing that such negligent attitude of the government was not warranted, they demanded immediate release of the ex-gratia announced to the victims' families. Several Congress party leaders and activists were present at the press meet.
