Demand for action against EMRC chief

Osmania University: The OU United Student Organizations on Tuesday expressed their preparedness to take up a joint struggle against the alleged large-scale irregularities in the filling of 14 EMRC jobs. At a round-table meeting in the Science College here on Tuesday, representatives of AISF, PDSU, SFI, TVS, PDSU, ASU, MSF and BC Vidyarthi Sangham accused the EMRC Director of selling jobs.

The representatives contended that the 14 posts had been filled up without following the reservation policy or norms. They alleged that by using fake documents, each post had been sold for Rs 10 lakh and demanded action against EMRC Director Prof Narender.

They demanded that the OU authorities prove their honesty by taking action against Prof Narender, and warned that the student organisations would not remain as silent spectators if ineligible persons were appointed at the cost of the genuine candidates.

The representatives also warned of intensifying their agitation if criminal cases were not booked against those responsible for giving jobs to 14 ineligible persons. They also demanded the immediate removal of the ineligible employees.

Among those present at the meeting were leaders of student organisations D Ranjit, Sivaramakrishna, C Dayakar, V Quadri, Anil Kumar, K Srinu, A Shankar, G Shyam, G Naresh, Swamy Goud, Venkat, Harish, Satya, Kishore, Rakesh and John.
