Hyderabad: Secretary at Forum for Good Governance (FGG) Padmanabha Reddy has demanded the state government to conduct enquiry with ACB or Vigilance Commission on drug racket cases filed in the past, keeping in mind the importance of the cases.

Padmanabha Reddy noted that two cases related to drug racket were filed by the Excise Department in Medchal district and a Special Investigative Team (SIT) was formed to investigate the cases. During investigation, it was revealed that several personalities from Telugu cinema industry were supplied with drugs by the accused in the cases.

During the inquiry, Puttakar Ramson Joseph, who was a manager in the Tollywood industry, was found to be supplying drugs to several prominent people of the film industry. A case was filed against Joseph, but cases were not filed against other prominent personalities of Tollywood who were involved in the case.

Notices were issued to 62 people and their statements were also taken during the enquiry, he said.
