Deworming tablets administered

Medak: District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr B Venkateshwar Rao took part in a programme held on the occasion of National Deworming Day at Telangana Social Welfare Residential School on Thursday.
He said there are 2,40,244 children between the ages of 1 and 19 in the district. They would be administered albendazole tablets. Students who miss the tablets would be administered on August 16.
He said the tablets would help prevent anemia and improve digestion. He advised students to wash their hands before eating. Cleanliness can prevent about 60 per cent of diseases, he said and explained ways of keeping hygiene.
