Dharna by candidates in front of Abids PO

Abids: Some 'meritorious' candidates, who had applied on October 14, 2019 for 970 GDS Assistant Branch Postmaster posts, on Wednesday demanded comprehensive inquiry into irregularities that took place in Grameena Dak Seva posts. They staged a dharna in front of the Dak Sadan Chief Postmaster's office here to press the demand.

The candidates claimed that in the results declared on January 27 those who secured less marks had been selected. They charged the postmaster general with disregarding their plea to hold a meeting with them. They threatened to continue to stage sit-in at the spot.
