Dhoom Dham decries govt apathy to TSRTC
Hayath Nagar: RTC employees working in Hayath Nagar depots 1 and 2 organised 'Dhoom Dham' programme on Thursday. Evuri Somanna and his team captivated audience with his folklore songs in support of the striking RTC employees. Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, local leaders of BJP, CPI, CPM and others sat in protest along with RTC employees.
Speaking on the occasion, the MP demanded that the CM KCR to intervene and resolve the strike at the earliest. He urged RTC employees not to get dejected as the strike had public support.
He predicted TRS party defeat in Huzurabad byelection despite it splurging hundreds of crores of money to win the elections. He exuded confidence that Congress party would win the seat with huge majority.
He held the CM KCR responsible for the deaths caused by untrained temporary drivers appointed during the strike period. Ridiculing the comments of Telangana ministers, he said that none of them participated in Telangana agitation.
He further added, "KCR should answer why the postings are given to only 4 members when there are 150 IAS officers without posting. Protest will not be stopped until RTC is merged into government." A large number of RTC employees, leaders of various political parties attended the programme.
