Disabled deserve equal rights: MLC Mahender

Tandur: The physically challenged people should also be treated on a par with others, said MLC Mahender Reddy. He unveiled a pamphlet on 'Rights of Persons with Disability Act 2016' here on Wednesday.

The MLC said the Act provided equal opportunities to the disabled people in all areas. The district-level association president of PWC, K Yadaiah, said the Act was made based on the resolutions taken at the UNO. Leaders of Disabled Welfare Association V Sudarshan, Krishna, Shabbir, Brahmam, Jayamma and others were present.
