Disaster Response Force personnel get 8 new vehicles at GHMC parking yard

Hyderabad: MAUD Minister KTR launched eight well-equipped DRF (Disaster Response Force) vehicles at GHMC parking yard in Necklace road on Thursday. These vehicles will be helpful to DRF teams to rush to spots of calamities across the city, he noted. Deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin, Enforcement Director Vishwajit Kampati and others were participated in the inauguration.

Each vehicle carries special equipment, generator, oxygen cylinders and others which are used for disaster management. KTR examined every vehicle and enquired with staff about their use. All vehicles are equipped with medical kit, safety helmets, cutters, pump set, demolition hammer, slab cutter, fire balls, fire suit, safety net, rope ladder, electric cutters and other instruments.

KTR also inaugurated Aaska lights which attracted him. These Aaska lights increase their height for 20 meters and send light beams that can be observed from 500 meters. Kampati said that these Aaska lights are used in the recent Godavari tragedy for retrieving the boat.
