Doctor attempts to commit suicide at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad

Dr. Vasanth attempted to self immolate at Gandhi Hospital here on Tuesday protesting against the attitude of the administration and senior officials of the health department. However, his attempt was foiled when the hospital staff prevented him from dousing with petrol.

This comes after the government initiated action against four doctors for spreading false claims over coronavirus positive cases. Dr. Vasanth is also one of them.

The doctor claimed that he has no connection with the false claims and alleged that the government suspended him for no reason. He created ruckus in front of the hospital by carrying a petrol bottle and tried to douse himself with it.

Vasanth alleged that there are medical malpractices going on in the hospital and also showed the documents related to it. He also said that he will challenge the injustice meted out to him legally.
