Doctor kidnapped in Hyderabad rescued in Anantapur
The Hyderabad police have rescued the dental doctor who was kidnapped from Rajendranagar on Tuesday afternoon with the help of the Anantapur police. The police arrested a person in connection with the kidnap case. The accused was identified as Mustafa.
Getting into details, a six-member gang from Hyderabad allegedly kidnapped the doctor Behajas Hussain (57) from his clinic at Bandlaguda Jagir. The incident occurred around 1.30 pm when the doctor was about to go home at prestige villas in Rajendranagar. The kidnappers forced the doctor to get into his car and tied up his limbs and covered his mouth.
The family of doctor launched a search for him and then lodged a complaint with the police who booked a case and took up investigation.
The police had sounded an alert across Telangana and neighbouring States following which the gang was traced at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh when they were shifting the doctor to Bengaluru.
An official said that one of the kidnappers was a tenant of the doctor who stays in the same building and they demanded money from the doctor in the form of bitcoins. A special team has left for Anantapur to bring the doctor to the city.
The police traced the car with the help of Mustafa's mobile number and the vehicle registration number. The police said that the gang was planning for the kidnap for the last three months and executed it on Tuesday.
