Doctors Day celebrated at Care Hospitals

Nampally: On the occasion of 'Doctors Day,' CARE Hospitals at Nampally honoured the physicians who have dedicated their professional lives to the caring of patients.

Medical Superintendent at Care Hospitals Dr Sushma said that on this day, CARE Hospitals highlighted the importance of the work of physicians, the challenges they face, as well as the advocacy work done on their behalf.

"Care Hospitals recognised the dedication and commitment of ten doctors from the twin-cities and felicitated them to acknowledge their contributions and their important role in caring for the health and well-being of our community," she said. Medical Superintendent at Care Hospitals Dr Sushma said, "Doctors on earth are like Gods in the heaven.

A special day is observed to thank them for their invaluable service to mankind. Every year, July 1 is celebrated as Doctors' Day, which is very special for every medical practitioner." Hospital Chief Operating Officer at Care Hospitals Satyam Dheeraj said, "The love and respect we have for our doctors, both as an institution and as individuals, is deep and heartfelt. The work they do touches our lives in a big and indelible way. Doctors' Day provides an opportunity to recognise physicians nationwide for their tireless commitment to providing excellent patient care."

Doctor's Day is observed to pay tribute to Dr BC Roy and salutes the spirit of his dedication. The red carnation was chosen as the official symbol of Doctors Day because the colour of flower is in spirit of medical profession. It represents adoration, charity, sacrifice and bravery.

Praveen Kumar and Chaitanya organized the event, and doctors from different departments of the hospital also participated in making the day special for everyone.
