Don't commit suicide, Kodanda tells students
Osmania University: TJS president Prof Kodanda Ram urged Intermediate students not to commit suicide. Responding to the call of opposition parties, the 'Vidhyardhi Jana Samithi conducted a signature campaign here on Wednesday in which the All India Backward Classes Welfare Association president R Krishnaiah was also present.
Speaking on the issue, Kodanda Ram said that failure was the stepping stone to success and urged the students to be strong willed and assured them that they were with them. The way the Government responded to issue was not at all satisfactory, he lamented.
In his speech, R Krishnaiah said, "Though several students and student unions are protesting against the issue, the State government is not responding properly. They are playing with the lives of the students."
He demanded the resignation of State Education Minister Jagadeesh Reddy, Education Secretary Janardhan Reddy and Intermediate Board chairman Ashok owning responsibility for the goof-up.
VJS leaders Ramesh Mudiraj, Sardar Vinod, Babu Mahajan, Maasampalli Arun, Saran and Anish were among those who were present on the occasion.
