Nacharam: GHMC prestigiously introduced the programme 'Saaf Hyderabad-Shaandar Hyderabad,' which is visually not in action. Some areas in the division are filled with waste and are stinking.

The drainage at Indira Nagar near Ambedkar statue in Nacharam is filled up with waste and Hyacinth, which is causing inconvenience to the commuters. Though residents in the area are filing complaints regularly, there is no change in the situation. Officers are not even showing any interest to clear the drainage and solve the problem.

Speaking on the issue, Narsingh said, "They cleaned this drainage before 15 days and it is emitting bad smell. It is very uncomfortable to pass this way. We request the officials concerned to clean it soon."

"We are facing a lot of mosquitoes because of the garbage. It has become difficult to sit outside in the evenings. We even filed a complaint, but there is no change in the situation," says Haritha, a resident of Indira Nagar.

"The lack of coordination between the Engineering Department and Sanitary Department is the main cause of this situation. It should be cleared and colony people should be saved," says Harsha, a resident of Indira Nagar.
