Drainage water overflows on road in Vasantpuri colony

Malkajgiri: New drainage pipelines are being laid in Vasantpuri colony for the past last week. As a result of ongoing works, drainage has been overflowing in many streets of the colony, causing a lot of inconvenience to colony residents.

School students and senior citizens have been facing a lot of difficulties to set their foot on the colony roads as most of them are filled with sewage water. Colony residents demanded officials concerned to take immediate measures to divert overflowing sewage and take necessary measures to clear the drainage from roads.

Ravi, a resident of Vasantapuri, expressed fears that stagnation of sewage water may cause health issues and diseases in the colony.
