Drugs eating away at vitals of nation's youth: Dr Laxman
Bagh Lingampally: BJP state president Dr K Laxman said that youth needs to be made aware of dangers of drug addiction and emphasised the need for stringent action against drug peddlers.
He was speaking at the drug de-addiction awareness campaign programme organised by YuvaSeva Youth Association at Dr BR Ambedkar College here on Thursday. The programme was sponsored by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Lakshman urged the youth to keep away from drugs as addiction to them could have serious consequences. He appealed to them to take responsibility of eliminating drug addiction in the society.
He said that conspiracies were being hatched by foreign forces to destroy the potential of Indian youth and that they were using drug addiction as means to fulfil their agenda. He cautioned youth to wary of such forces and keep themselves away from drugs and aim towards bright future.
Ramnagar corporator V Srinivas Reddy, in-charge of Nehru Yuva Kendra Chandrashekhar, psychologist Dr Manohar, Dr Vijay, Anand Kumar, Dr Kalyan Chakravarthi and others spoke on the occasion on the dangers of drug addiction.
