Dumping garbage on roadside

Sainikpuri: Garbage including plastic waste and food packets is thrown on the roadside of Sainikpuri. Passers have been throwing food packets and other plastic wastes on the roadside.

Speaking to Hans India, Vamshi C, a shopkeeper said, "There are many people who buy some kind of food items and throw the packets on the road itself. Even if there are any garbage disposals outside the shops there are many people who get out of the shop and eat the food item while walking and then throw the packets there. A number of people who travel in their cars and bikes throw water bottles and other wastes on the roadside while travelling."

Madhu P, a resident of the area said, "I have to pay an extra amount to the GHMC workers to clean the garbage which is on the path of my house. There are even street dogs that many times jump the boundary walls of my house and enter the house. This is causing a lot of inconvenience to us. My children's are very small and they get scared to go out of the house because of the danger of the street dogs."
