Dumping yard set to get a makeover

Medchal: On Thursday, Medchal-Malkajgiri Collector MV Reddy inspected the dumping yard, a local tank and nurseries at Bowrampet. During his inspection to the dumping yard, the Collector instructed the officials to allocate additional land to the dumping yard for modernisation. He suggested the officials to plant avenue and icon plants in the premises of the dumping yard.

The Collector also ordered district officials to identify a piece of land in the village for construction of a park for public needs. The park should have pleasant atmosphere with different types of trees and games for children, he said.

Later, the Collector visited the graveyard 'Vaikuntadhamam'. The Collector suggested officials to build compound wall around it and plant trees adjacent to the wall. He also ordered to them take the graveyard build at Boduppal as inspiration and provide all the facilities such as bathrooms, toilets, streetlights and incinerators.

During his visit to the Bowrampet tank, Reddy came to know from irrigation officials and RDO that there were no encroachments in the tank. Collector also visited nursery in the MPDO office premises.

He suggested officials to provide sign boards indicating name of the plant, and species to which it belongs to. He instructed officials to take the services of recognised agency to plant avenue and icon trees in the village.

RDO Madhusudhan, Municipal Commissioner Suresh, Tahsildar Yadaiah, District Irrigation Officer Manjula, and other district officials accompanied the Collector.
