DYFI activists take up tree plantation drive
Baghlingampally: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) organised a tree plantation programme at the Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram here on Thursday on the occasion of World Environment Day.
Chikkadapally Circle Inspector of Police Venkat Reddy and state secretary of DYFI A Vijay Kumar participated in the programme as chief guests. Speaking on the occasion, A Vijay Kumar congratulated the city DYFI committee for organising the sapling distribution and tree plantation programmes.
He urged the city residents to plant more trees to curb air pollution as the city was affected by increasing air pollution due to vehicular and industrial pollution. Among those who participated in the program include Hyderabad city secretary of DYFI T Mahender, city president Ramesh, vice-president K Mallesh, Rana Pratap, Indira Swamy, Anil Kumar, Shwetha, Swapna, Naveen, Naresh, Srikanth and others.
