ECIL's Corporate Social Responsibility activity benefits ZP School
Kushaiguda: Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) has constructed a kitchen-cum-dining hall for mid-day meal programme for the students of Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) here, at a cost of Rs 13.4 Lakh under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
At a function held on Wednesday at the school, Swarna Sankaran, the Executive Director (Finance) of ECIL, inaugurated the new facility and handed it over to the headmistress. Speaking on the occasion, Swarna Sankaran said that ECIL attaches high priority to education and skill development, and exhorted students to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, competitive spirit, unity among themselves and also pursue various job-oriented courses apart from the regular academics. Asiffula Baig, Head (P&A), Sunil Kumar J, PO (CSR), president and general secretary of ECIL Staff & Workers Union, president and secretary of ECIL Officers Association and other representatives participated in the programme.
During the last 5 years, ECIL provided infrastructure/facilities under CSR like construction of toilets, classrooms, multi-purpose halls, dining halls, kitchens, RO water plants. It also facilitated computer education by supplying computers and faculty, benches, school bags, water bottles, sports items. It also conducted health camps in various government schools at Keesara, Kapra, Alwal and Malkajigiri mandals of Medchal District.
