"There are nearly 44 GHMC parks in our zone and are largely dependent on borewells and tanker water. Because of the summer, in some parks bore wells dried up, and so we engaged tankers to give life-sourcing water to the plants. Usually, we hire tankers from the GHMC and Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB)," said Hari Chandana.

The Zonal Commissioner said, "We have the highest survival rate of our plantation in the west zone. It is a fixed scheduled during the summer: every week one dose of 40 liters water is provided to the street side plants."

Every alternate day, watering is taken up in parks with the help of tankers. The expenditure for the complete project is estimated to be about Rs 31 lakh.
