EFLU students visiting Germany, France under exchange prog
Tarnaka: Prof. E Suresh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, English & Foreign Languages University (EFLU), unfurled the national flag on the 73rd Independence Day celebrations on the campus. Addressing the gathering, he exhorted the faculty and students to rededicate themselves for the national cause to prove that universities are the mirrors of national character.
He informed that the university signed important MoUs with the university of Vechta, Germany; University of Montpellier, France; Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea; during last year. As a result of the student exchange programmes included in the MoUs, EFLU students are visiting Germany and France.
The VC stated that two MoUs with the University of De Montford (UK) and with the Embassy of Spain (Delhi) are in the pipeline. He said the recently signed MoU with Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Visakhapatnam, would enable EFLU students study short-term management courses at IIM-V to get global placements.
Prof. Suresh Kumar mentioned that EFLU was developing open educational resources (OERs) in 13 languages which are ready for launch. A mobile app, English Pro, has been developed to impart lessons in English pronunciation and is ready for launch. The gymnasium for foreign students will soon be inaugurated.
Earlier, he was received by the teacher-administrators and officers as he inspected the guard of honour. The students of the university's Music Club rendered patriotic songs after the VC's message. Students and teachers exchanged greetings on the occasion.
