Veteran art director and mentor Aditya N Chari's workshop on character design was inspiring
Creative Multimedia College of Fine Arts (CMCFA) organised a "Workshop on Character Design" for its BA Visual Arts (Animation and VFX) Degree program students as part of its industry-oriented training aimed at Enhancing Employability and producing job-ready Computer graphic artists.
Over 100 Animation and VFX career aspirants of CMCFA participated in the day-long, immersive workshop conducted by veteran art director and mentor Aditya N Chari who is also the author and Illustrator of many bestselling books on art, figure drawing and portrait techniques.
The workshop dwelt on anatomy, figure drawing and forms and shapes, exposing students to the techniques and tips vital to professional character design in the world of animation, VFX and gaming.
Aditya holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with 18 plus years' experience in character design, caricatures and paintings. He's been associated with global names: Virgin, Reliance, McKann, O&M, Forbes & MTV to name a few.
His exemplary work as a character sketch/concept artist in the film industry has brought him immense recognition with 'Baahubali' (Bhallala Deva character sketch) being his most admired work till date.
The workshop was dedicated to the legendary Satyajit Ray - one of the greatest film makers of the 20th century, on the occasion of his 98th birth anniversary.
