EVMs, VVPATs randomly allocated for elections
Medchal-Malkajgiri: District Collector MV Reddy directed randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs for the second time in the presence of general elections observer Sravan Kumar, delegates of ideological groups, representatives of political parties and agents at the collectorate here on Monday.
The Collector stated that they had successfully completed the randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs and stored those EVMs and VVPATs in a godown located at Shamirpet with a strong security and surveillance.
Adding on more information, Reddy stated they had allotted 656 EVMs and 713 VVPATs for Medchal constituency, 436 EVMs and 474 VVPATs for Malkajgiri constituency, 542 EVMs and 589 VVPATs for Quthbullapur constituency, 446 EVMs and 484 VVPATs for Kukatpally, 433 EVMs and 470 VVPATs for Uppal, 638 EVMs and 687 VVPATs for LB Nagar, 279 EVMs and 290 VVPATs for Cantonment constituency.
The EVMs and VVPATs would be shifted to strong rooms in the constituencies concerned and placed under tight security. He also explained about measures being taken up by the district administration. Joint Collector D Srinivas Reddy, EVM Nodal officers, law officer Shanker and others were present.
