First thing in the morning, the drivers go all the way till Kapra GHMC office to punch in biometric to mark attendance, only then they report on duty at the shelter else they will be marked absent.

Dr Sukhnandan Reddy, Deputy Director Fathullaguda Animal shelter. said, "We have sent a written representation to the Zonal office for installing biometric machine at an office near to the shelter to make things easier for drivers and save unnecessary travel time. It was supposed to be installed by Monday but due to some technical error, it has been delayed it will be rectified soon,"he added.

Expressing his disappointment over the apathy, F Muqeem, a driver shares, "The initiative is good, but a lot of time is spent on traveling which is exhausting. I come all the way from Falaknuma which is 18 km away and takes around one hour to reach the shelter."
