Floral tributes paid to Prof Jayashankar
Himayatnagar: The death anniversary of prof Jayashankar, a leading ideologue of Telangana movement, was observed here by BC student association at BC Bhavan in Domalguda on Friday. President of Central Committee of BC Students' Association Vikram Goud organized the program. Noted Telugu actor Narayan Murthy attended the program as the chief guest. BC leaders and the chief guests paid floral tributes to the portrait of Prof Jayashankar.
Speaking the occasion, Naryana Murthy lauded the role of Jayashankar in the Telangana movement. A great leader who fought all his life to fulfil his dream of a separate state of Telangana, he said. Murthy urged youth to strive to fulfil his dreams and aspirations. He remembered how Prof Jayashankar used to explain every youth who visited him about the injustice done to Telangana.
Vikram Goud promised to continue their fight until the social Telangana, as dreamt by Prof Jayashankar, is achieved. Jayashankar's dream of social Telangana can be achieved only when BC's are empowered and BC movement is being built with the inspiration of the vision of Jayashankar, he said. Vikram Goud demanded the state government to install Jayashankar's statue on Tank Bund and to establish a museum in his memory. President of MBC Badesaab, Srinivas Verma, Nagaraju, Sai Teja, Rajesh, and other student leaders were present on the occasion.
