Folk dancers steal show

It was a medley of art forms of Telangana on showcase in what can be termed as a grand show as Ganesha idols from all over the city made their way through masses of people as artistes from four different teams of over 30 performers including Oggu Dolu, Kommu Koya, Dappulu enthralled people.

The Telangana Cultural Department deputed 48 different folk artist teams to accompany processions of Ganesh idols from 48 places including Khairatabad Ganesha.

Performers stole the show at 28 stages erected on Shobha Yatra route including Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Uppal, Ramanthapur, Basheer Bagh, Tank Bund etc. Perini, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Gussadi performers were deputed to give stage shows on the procession route.
