Free artificial limb distribution camp held
Hyderabad: Narayan Seva Sansthan - a charitable organisation that runs charitable hospitals in the country for specially abled people, in particularly for polio and by-birth disabled, organised an artificial Limb distribution camp at Isamia Bazar in Hyderabad. Around 19 differently abled got free-of-cost Artificial Limbs and calipers during the camp.
Dr Vaishnavi, Prosthetic and Orthotic, Narayan Sewa Sansthan said, "Our engineers helped and installed the customised artificial limbs at the camp. Besides this, NGO is offering artificial limbs and prosthetics for free of charge to the needy patients which market values is around Rs 70,000".
Prashant Agarwal, President, Narayan Seva Sansthan said, "We intend to reach out to every single differently abled individual who needs artificial limbs to be able to mobilise but to also showcase them a way forward to be able to stand on their feet and take on the challenges that world throws at them. So far, we have successfully distributed close to 99,133 Calipers, 10452 wheelchairs, and 3,646 tricycles."
