Ganapathi temple fete begins tomorrow

Secunderabad: The noted Lakshmi Ganapathi temple at Kanajiguda in Tirumalgherry will start its third anniversary celebrations from April 21 to 24. This was stated by noted astrologist Sevaratna Dr Mothkuru Satyanarayana Shastri at a press conference held here on Friday.

Speaking to media persons, Shastri said Brahmotsavam programs would be held at the temple for four days on the occasion of the temple's third anniversary. Labour and Employment Minister Malla Reddy, TRS spokesperson at Delhi S Venugopalachari, Malkajgiri MLA Mainampalli Hanumantha Rao, MLC N Ramchander Rao, City Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and other noted personalities were expected to take part in the celebrations, he added.

Explaining the significance of the temple, Shastri said that the temple was build with green emerald and crores of rupees have been spent to build this unique temple. He said that heads of all the prominent peethams would conduct homams for the well-being of the country and good monsoons.

As part of the celebrations, Lakshmi Ganapathi, Lakshmi Kubera, Laskhmi Narasimha, Sudarshana, and others homams would be performed in the premises of the temple, he said. Shastri said that all the arrangements were made for devotees to view homams and take darshan of the deity during the celebrations. Annadanam program would also be conducted every day during the celebrations and a medical camp would also being organized at the temple on the occasion, he added.

A wall poster inviting people to participate in the Bramhotsavams was released on the occasion. Among those who were present include M Jyothi, G Venkataraman, Venkata Ramana Sharma, Meena Naidu and others.
