Garbage emits awful smell; People fume

Banjara Hills: Heaps of garbage is piling up near the entrance of Banjara Hills Colony and everywhere in Banjara Hills area, which is known for its neat and clean roads.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, K Kishore, an auto driver, said "I pass by that area where garbage is dumped every day and after a few days it is burned. There are several bakery shops and shops around here and people are now forced to inhale the smoke. Although, the area seems to be called well-developed, the connecting lanes have become unpleasant."

V Sushma, a resident of Srinagar Colony, said "There is an awful smell that is being generated through the waste that is been dumped which becomes difficult to walk through. Along with the domestic waste, construction waste is also dumped here. Animals like dogs and pigs are seen scouring through the trash."
