Garbage heaps, pigs worry residents

Malkajgiri: Residents of Vimala Devi Nagar and commuters, motorists who travel from this road, which connects East Anandbagh and Malkajgiri, are facing problems due to presence pigs and pile-up of garbage occupying the road. Divya, a local resident, said: "The local residents are throwing garbage and pigs come to eat those waste and relax there itself.

City is already in the grip of viral and dengue fevers and this pigs menace is increasing more chances of seasonal diseases. For many days garbage will be there only; no GHMC workers come to clean the area." Krishna, a commuter, said, "Pigs moving in groups are occupying and resting on road, causing inconvenience to commuters and pedestrians alike. We request GHMC workers and officals to catch these pigs and move them to some other place."
